This 1999 Acura Integra Type R is a Canadian-market project that was first sold in New Brunswick. It remained in that area until being purchased by the seller three months ago and driven over 1,200 miles to his home in Quebec. The original 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four was rebuilt in 2016, and the car is also equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, limited-slip differential, and a 4.785 final drive ratio. Records from the rebuild are included, and a service performed three months ago included an oil/filter change and brake service. The seller had intended to more thoroughly refurbish the car, but other automotive projects have taken priority. Remaining problems include poorly executed body and underside repairs, a number of illuminated warning lights, electrical issues, and more as detailed below. This Type R is now being offered with a clean Quebec title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted poorly in its original white by the previous owner and shows evidence of overspray in some areas. An aftermarket carbon fiber spoiler has been added and was also painted white. The rear wiper is not working and is missing its wiring harness.

The seller installed a new windshield, though seals for the windshield and side windows are still needed. The stock 15″ alloys show considerable wear, including a chip in the left rear wheel.

Inside, the black cloth upholstery also shows wear, and a small hole is present on the base of the right rear seat. A JVC head unit was installed at some point, and other modifications include a short shifter and aftermarket shift knob. The keys do not open the doors, just the ignition and trunk, and some screws are said to be missing from interior panels.

The check engine light is reported to come on at 3,000 rpm due to the knock sensor needing to be replaced. The ABS light is on due to the right rear speed sensor, and the SRS light is also illuminated. The odometer shows 90,156 kilometers (56,020 miles) and is considered accurate by the seller.

The original 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four was blown under previous ownership and rebuilt in September 2016 by Nova Automotive in Nova Scotia, Canada. The engine is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with a 4.785 final drive (as opposed to the 4.40FD gearing found on US models) and a limited-slip differential. The A/C lines are missing from the engine bay, and the fuel door line is rusted. The most recent service was completed three months ago and included an oil/filter change and rebuilt rear calipers.

Images of the undercarriage are featured in the photo gallery below and show some repair work that was performed poorly by the previous owner. The trunk compartment is also said to have evidence of repairs and is missing its carpeting.

An accident-free Carfax shows registration locations, but does not list any mileage or service history. Receipts from the engine rebuild and parts replaced by the previous owner are included, as are records for the work performed by the seller.
