Ladder bar or 4-link, which is better for trucks?

Assassin bars work a lot like a ladder bar setup. Main reason I built my own ladders bars is to run a bigger tire, if I were to stay with a smaller tire I would have stayed with assassin bars and leaf springs.
Ladder bars will work just fine for you. If you plan to really get serious, make 900-1000+, and want unlimited adjustability, launch with all the power you can make off the line then go with a 4 link.

You can get articulation out of ladders of you mount them close to the center of the of the vehicle on the chassis end. Of course that also means you would need to consider building a beefier cross member, or a well designed K-member on the chassis.
