This 2000 Acura Integra Type R is finished in Flamenco Black Pearl over a black cloth interior. It shows 47,750 miles, and is powered by a 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four paired with a 5-speed close-ratio transmission. The seller acquired this ITR around a year ago, and prior-installed additions include an aftermarket battery, Mugen license plate bolts, OEM foglights, and a rerouted hood release cable to prevent theft. This Acura is now being offered with 180+ pictures, records from the previous owner, a clean Carfax, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Flamenco Black Pearl, which was only available for the 2000 model year. Provided pictures show the body panel and bumper cover VIN tags, and the included Carfax does not indicate any prior accidents or other damage.
Exterior imperfections shown in the gallery consist of several scratches on the rear bumper and the panel above the bumper, a few door dings on both sides, a paint chip on the driver’s side toward the lower corner, a paint scuff on the right quarter panel below the Type R logo, and a few scrapes underneath the front lip. The dealer-optional side skirts shown in the photo gallery have been removed to prepare the car for sale.
15″ factory alloy wheels remain equipped, and show a few curb marks in the gallery. They are currently mounted with a set of 205/50 Dunlop Direzza tires manufactured in late 2015.
US-Spec 2000 ITRs featured front seats with suede-like bolstering, ebony cloth inserts, and deviated red stitching. Red stitching is also found on the rear seats and center armrest. According to the seller, the previous owner used seat and steering wheel covers to minimize wear and tear. A set of factory floor mats are equipped, and the seller states that the tops of the rear seats are not faded as shown in the gallery, a common ITR issue.
The original dashboard was reportedly replaced by one of the previous owners due to a crack in the defroster panel, and the seller notes the dash VIN tag is not present. 47,750 miles are currently shown on the mechanical odometer, approximately 1,250 of which have been driven by the seller during the past year.
A plaque mounted on the center armrest identifies this car as #1,398. 3,823 US-spec ITRs were built between 1997-1998 and 2000-2001.
The high-revving 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four produced 195 horsepower when new and is mated to a close-ratio 5-speed gearbox and factory limited-slip differential. In December 2018, a synthetic oil change was completed, the brake rotors were turned, and new factory brake pads were installed. This car reportedly passed a California emissions test in early 2018.
The engine VIN plate is shown above.
Gallery photos show corrosion on the suspension, brakes, and various other nuts/bolts. A coating has been applied to the rear wheel arches, which the seller assumes is a rust inhibitor.
The accident-free Carfax shows four owners including the seller. Registration is shown in Michigan through 2008, then Illinois and Utah prior to the seller bringing it to California in early 2018. 37 service records are also listed.
