This 2000 Acura Integra Type R is one of 1,350 US-spec examples produced for the model year and was sold new in Los Altos, California. Power is provided by a 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four, which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in Phoenix Yellow over a black interior and has 46k indicated miles. Maintenance performed since the seller’s purchase six months ago included a new Honda exhaust, the installation of a stock air intake, a new timing belt, new water pump, new valve gasket, new brake pads, and a factory Acura radio. This DC2 Type R is now offered with some service records, factory literature, spare floor mats, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Phoenix Yellow, which was a unique color offered on the Type R. The front and rear bumpers were repainted in June 2019, and the seller describes paint chips on the bottom of the left-side quarter panel, the top-right rear quarter panel, and near the emblem on the rear hatch. Dings are also noted on the bottom front and rear of the driver door. Photos of the body panel VIN stickers are provided in the gallery below.
Factory 15″ wheels wear 205/50 Yokohama Advan A048 tires that were mounted in June 2019. Other recent work included new brake pads, resurfaced rotors, and a brake fluid flush.
The interior features black fabric seats with microsuede bolsters and red stitching. Black UK-market floor mats with Integra Type R scripts protect the carpets, and a set of factory checkered mats are included in the sale. An aftermarket head unit was installed at the time of the seller’s purchase and has since been replaced by an Acura head unit.
Instrumentation includes a 10k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and gauges for temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 46k miles, 500 of which were added by the seller.
The 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four was rated at 195 horsepower at 8,000 rpm when new and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and factory limited-slip differential. Maintenance performed during the seller’s ownership included reverting from an AEM intake to a stock unit, as well as the replacement of an aftermarket exhaust system with a Honda Sankei muffler and mid-pipe. Work in June 2019 consisted of a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, and battery, along with a transmission fluid flush.
Corrosion is noted on the front suspension components, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
The recent Carfax report lists no accidents or other issues, as well as California registration since new. Although the Carfax lists seven owners, the seller states that the car only had three owners prior to his purchase. A California emissions test was reportedly passed in June 2019. Service records dating back to 2013, factory literature, and two keys with immobilizer chips are included in the sale.
