This 1998 Acura Integra Type R is #199 of approximately 1,000 examples delivered to the US market for the model year and was purchased by the seller on BaT in June 2021. The car is finished in Championship White over black cloth upholstery and powered by a 1.8-liter B18 VTEC inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes air conditioning, a factory CD stereo, body-colored 15″ wheels, and power accessories. This Integra Type R shows 97k miles and is now offered with a car cover, two keys, spare parts, manufacturer’s literature and accessories, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The exterior is finished in Championship White (NH0), the only color offered for US-market Type Rs in 1998, and features a front lip spoiler, a raised rear wing, black splash guards, and Type R decals. The right side of the car was reportedly repainted and the bumper covers replaced under prior ownership. A September 2004 entry on the Carfax report notes damage to the left side of the car due to a sideswipe collision with another motor vehicle, and the left mirror is said to have been replaced as a result. Rock chips on the nose, scuffing underneath the rocker panels, and blemishes around the central trunk badge can be seen in the gallery below.

White-painted 15″ factory wheels wear Acura-logo center caps and are wrapped in 195/55 Toyo Proxes R1R tires. Slotted and cross-drilled rotors are fitted at all four corners.

The seats are upholstered in black micro-suede with peppered cloth inserts and red stitching. Amenities include air conditioning, a factory CD stereo, an aftermarket shift knob, Integra Type R-branded floor mats, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,400-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 97k miles, approximately 400 of which were added by the seller.

A plaque on the center armrest denotes this example as #199 of approximately 1,000 US-specification Type Rs produced for the 1998 model year.

The 1.8-liter B18C5 inline-four features VTEC variable valve timing as well as dual overhead camshafts, and factory-rated output was 195 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in September 2020.

Power is delivered to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.

Spare parts are included in the sale as well as two keys and a Type R-branded car cover that can be seen in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned September 2004 accident and lists history in Missouri, Illinois, Oregon, and California.
