This 1996 Honda Integra Type R is a right-hand-drive Japanese-market example that was imported to the US in March 2021 by the seller. The car is finished in Championship White over a black cloth interior and is powered by a 1.8-liter VTEC inline-four driving the front wheels through a close-ratio five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes white-finished 15″ alloy wheels, a front spoiler, a rear wing, Recaro front seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and air conditioning. Under current ownership, the lower front spoiler has been repainted, replacement side mirrors have been painted and installed, and the battery has been replaced. This JDM Type R is now offered with import documentation and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Championship White with Type R graphics, red Honda badging, a front spoiler, a rear wing, and enclosed one-piece headlights. The seller notes that the Integra Type R decal is missing from the left rear quarter panel. Additionally, replacement door mirrors have been painted and installed and the front spoiler has been repainted. The driver’s door makes a popping noise when it is opened and the plastic trim around the windshield is beginning to peel. The seller notes that the trunk can be opened from the outside with the key, but the interior trunk release is inoperable. Paint blemishes and a gap in the seam between the trunk floor and the rear of the car are shown in the gallery below.
White-finished 15″ alloy wheels are wrapped in a combination of 195/55 Dunlop Enasave tires up front and Yokohama BluEarth-A tires out back. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes and a front strut-tower brace. Wear is shown on the wheels and center caps.
The right-hand-drive cockpit is fitted with Recaro front seats upholstered in black synthetic suede with cloth inserts and complemented by a black dashboard, center console, rear seats, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, carbon fiber-look center console and door accents, Integra-branded floor mats, a factory cassette stereo, an aluminum shift knob, and power windows. Wear is noted on the door panels and the front seat bolsters, and fading is shown on the back seats. The seller notes that the back lighting in the dash clock display is partially inoperable, the stereo powers up but will only produce static with a blank display, and that a whining noise is intermittently present when the air conditioning is first engaged.
A leather-wrapped MOMO three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 190-km/h speedometer. The six-digit mechanical odometer indicates 172k kilometers (~107k miles), approximately 5k (~3k miles) of which were added by the seller. The seller notes that the trip odometer is inoperable.
The 1.8-liter B18C inline-four is equipped with VTEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 197 horsepower and 131 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the battery has been replaced and that an electrical ground issue was repaired in August 2021.
